Gregory Thomas Oakley, age 36, of 136 Oakley Farm Road, died Tuesday morning from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Durham County, he was the son of John and Pat Oakley of Rougemont. He was an avid fan of the Tar Heels and the New York Yankees. He was presently attending school for heating and air conditioning. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jake and Doris Eakes, his paternal grandparents, Mozelle and Pender Oakley.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Ashley Ann Oakley, Austin Thomas Oakley and the mother of his children, Gretchen Culley Oakley all of Roxboro; two brothers, Michael Todd Shull "Mike" and Richard Oakley "Rick" both of Rougemont.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at the Bethany Baptist Church by the Rev. Billy Lynch. Burial will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allen Jacobs, Kirk Oakley, Rodney Oakley, Kevin Eakes, Jake Oakley, Randy Talley, and Bryan Green.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Brooks and White Funeral Home and other times at the home of his parents, 1050 Moriah Road, Rougemont, NC, 27572.
