Martha McBrayer Bradsher, 99, of 320 South Morgan Street, Roxboro, died peacefully at her home Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Born in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie Blanton McBrayer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bradsher, Jr. and her daughter-in-law, Sarah W. Bradsher. She was an active member at Roxboro Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, worked on the bereavement committee, and the flower committee.

Mrs. Bradsher graduated from Meredith College and moved to Roxboro where she met and married her husband. She taught for 30 years in the Person County School System. Mrs. Bradsher was an avid bridge player.

Surviving are her three children: Earl Bradsher, III and wife, Mary of Penhook, VA, John Bradsher of Blanch, and Janet Bradsher Arnold and husband, David of McLeansville; one sister, Ruth Dover and husband, Jack of Lattimore; five grandchildren: Molly Briggs, Emily Bradsher, Ben Strickland, Rachael Smith, and Andrew Strickland; nine great-grandchildren.

A private burial will be held 11 AM Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Burchwood Cemetery. Memorial service will be held 1 PM Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Roxboro Baptist Church with Dr. DuPre Sanders officiating. Visitation will be held after the service in the Fellowship Hall.
