Francis Richard DesRoches, 94, of 308 Montford Dr., Roxboro, died Saturday, November 3, 2018. Born in Middlesex Co., MA, Mr. Des Roches was the son of the late John Baptist and Zella DesRoches. Mr. DesRoches served in the US Army during WWII and was a June 6 D-Day survivor. After the war, he was employed by the governement's defense mapping agency-topographic center in the department of graphic arts. He retired after 31 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Elric and Leo and his sister Emelda.

Mr. DesRoches is survived by his loving wife, Joan Coss DesRoches; three step-children, Rosemarie Wilkerson (Michael), of Roxboro, Nancy Conner (Michael), of Weatherford, TX and Kenneth O'Boyle (Terry), of Carrollton, VA; one step-granddaughter, Courtney Vincoli (Michael); two step-great-grandchildren, Nicholas Vincoli and William Vincoli; two nieces, Myrna Hodges (Marilyn) of Charlotte and Michelle Chalumo, of Hatboro, PA.

A memorial mass will be held 5PM Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Sts. Mary & Edward Catholic Church, Roxboro by the Father William Rodriguez.
