Frances Carroll Swain, 79, of 417 County Line Road died Thursday, January 25, 2018. She was born in Warren County to the late Eugene and Lucy Thompson Carroll. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ralph Woodson Swain; and three brothers, Sammy, William, and James Carroll. Mrs. Swain retired from IBM and attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Swain adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are two children, Wanda Newton (Todd) and Rodney Swain (Lynn), both of Timberlake; three sisters, Julia Murphy, Shelby Swain (Larry), and Carolyn Partin; four grandchildren, Tyler (Meredith) and Katlin Newton, Lauren and Adam Swain; and two great-grandchildren, Macie and Tate Newton.

Funeral service will be held 3:30 PM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Brooks and White Chapel with the Rev. Marc Francis officiating. Burial will follow in the Blalock Aiken Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00-7:30 PM Friday, January 26, 2018 at Brooks and White Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Pallbearers will be Rick Swain, Freddie Partin, Roy Jefferies, Garland Newcomb, Donnie Carroll, and Pete Taylor. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Carroll.
