Ersene Dare Chambers Wrenn, 78, formerly of 525 Weldon Wrenn Road, Roxboro, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017. Born in Person County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Edgar Chambers and Rosa Blalock Chambers. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, R. Merritt Wrenn and three siblings, Essie Mae Chambers, Paul Edward Chambers, and Fred Ray Chambers.

Surviving are her four children: Robert C. Wrenn (Laurie) of Roxboro, Richard M. Wrenn (Patricia) of Roxboro, Sharon W. Whitfield (Martin) of Roxboro, and Lori W. Long (Danny) of Alton, VA; six grandchildren: Mary Kelsey Wrenn, Ashley L. Clayton, Anna M. Wrenn, Christopher M. Whitfield, Noah W. Whitfield, and Patrick W. Long, all of Roxboro.

Visitation will be held from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Brooks & White Chapel and other times at the home of her son, Robert Wrenn (4690 Burlington Road, Roxboro).

A celebration of life will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Brooks & White Chapel with the Dr. DuPre Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the medical staff at Duke University Hospital for their extended care over the years. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Duke LVAD Team.
